Los Angeles, CA the land of celebrities, movie cameras, and persistent paparazzi has a rich and varied history that extends far beyond the glitter of the silver screen. Abundant sunshine and a temperate climate make it a very attractive city.

A mix of Hispanic, Filipino, and native settlers established Los Angeles in the early 1800s which passed through Spanish, Mexican, and finally into US hands in 1848.

The city boasts of being a sports Mecca with the LA Lakers, the Clippers, both NBA teams, Dodgers in baseball, and much-loved teams including  the Kings (NHL), Sparks (WNBA), and Galaxy and Club Deportivo Chivas USA (Major League Soccer).

LA has such fantastic nightlife with trendy bars and dance clubs packed most nights. The Getty Center and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art exhibit the cultural side of the city.

Griffith Park, Coldwater Canyon Park are among the many parks and green open spaces in the city that help you get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

Los Angeles from a modest Spanish settlement of the 1700s is today a modern-day metropolis, rich in art, music, theater, sport, and natural beauty.
